Puppies, when born, are very fragile. They need support and development from their mummy. Their body organs are also flimsy during the very first week. So, they should be kept with great care. This article will explain what kinds of precautions should be followed during puppy development from 1 to 8 weeks.

Puppy Development From 1-8 Weeks

During The First Week

During the first week of development of puppies, a proper look-after of them is most essential. They are unable to see correctly in the first week. Puppies also can’t move as their limbs are fragile and are developing. So, they should be provided with a healthy diet as soft cookies and some other food especially available for young puppies. During these days, puppies need a slight warmth for their growth. So, they should be kept with great care.

The Second Week

The second week of a cute little puppy is a week of having some strength in their body. It starts to see the world and the things around them. This week, their small pinky nose gets some darker colour. Their fore-limbs start to carry their weight to some extent. They show some movement. This week is crucial for their look after because any rigid thing can cause their fragile limbs to be fractured.

Third Week

This week, the small, shiny teeth of the puppies started to develop. This means that it is time to wean. Their fore and hind limbs have become strong enough to carry their weight. They begin to walk and jump a little. It is time to realise that they are in this world. They come to know that they have brothers and sisters as well. Puppies start to play with their brothers and sisters. They do not need the support of their mum or pup for warmth or their movement.

Fourth Week

This is the fourth week of the development of puppies. In this week, they start to be socialized to some extent. They meet with the other puppies. Puppies have become a little confident. They begin to go for a sweet walk for some time.

It seems that they shake hands with other puppies to make a sort of known. During this crucial time, they should be given the practice of walking and surviving. So, for this purpose, a proper coach is required. A person who is found to have cute puppies should be a perfect coach for them.

The Wifth Week Of Puppy Development

This week is their to become some naughty. When they walk and jump, they look so satisfying to the eyes, and the heart has become pleased to see them. At this stage of development, they start to interact with their siblings. They also begin to look for their food. During previous weeks, they were dependent entirely on their mum for food. While at this time, they can search for their food. They are taking small steps towards their development. This week is full of joy as they look into the surroundings and observe the happenings.

Sixth Week

This stage of development is to chew everything that they see in front of them. As they are grooming, they do not know till that time which thing they have to chew and which thing they should not chew. So, they need to be educated on all these things.

Training session of puppies

Puppies should be guided to survive in a particular environment. The owner of the puppies has two options. Either he or she should train them by himself or herself or they should hire an expert person to teach the puppies. This will also increase the puppies’ likeness to human beings. If the mother of the puppies is aggressive and does not want anyone to touch her children. In this case, firstly you have to teach the mother. Also, some coding words can be taught to the puppies.

Seventh Week

During this week, the puppies become more mature and start to bark. They probably learn barking from their mother or father or most likely want to talk to humans. It can be thought that puppies, when listening to humans, want to converse with human beings. And they are crying for something that they need. During this stage, if the puppies, they also learn to answer the call of nature. This also requires an expert to teach them all manners necessary for their living style.

Learning the living style

In this week, puppies learn the style of living. They learn to survive in the environment in which they have to live. Puppies also learn this kind of manners by looking at the living style of the owner or by their mum and pup. They should also be well aware of the dangerous things like not touching an electricity wire. This matters a lot for their survival.

The Eighth Week Of Development

This week is crucial. At this stage of development, puppies learn most things in their lives. Puppies have to be vaccinated at this stage. They know to sit at their place. They also learn how to behave with others. Puppies might contain some diseases at the initial stage of development. So, a veterinarian must check them on a weekly or monthly basis. It supports the prevention of other diseases because they are more fragile at the early stages of development and susceptible to infections.

More outgoing activities

At this stage, puppies become so mature that they increase their outgoing activities. They like to interact with other puppies and human beings too. Compared to the initial stages, they have become strong and able to understand things. In this regard, they are socialized towards the community. They learn to choose their diet at this stage as well. They should be taught to avoid eating contaminated food. To sum up, they proceed with their development step after step.
