7 Tips For New Dog Owners

1- Mutual respect and provides its own space

The first thing on this list of 7 tips for new dog owners: Always treat him with respect and affection. Now, he is a member of your family, so you cannot have him on terraces, rooftops or have him tied up in the garden, he must be inside the house living with their basic accessories, which are their feeder, bed, toys, and the proper hygiene accessories, which are important. In addition, have fresh and clean water always within reach of him.

We recommend their own space, because each dog is different and not everyone likes to always have company, some are more lonely and independent and require a remote space, to rest and relax. If you have children in your house, it is important to keep this tip in mind so that the dog does not get stressed, and thus it is easier for him to rest.

From the first moment you receive your furry, you must take him to the vet for his general routine check-up to check his health, in addition, the chip with his data must be implanted in case he is lost at any time, in certain countries the use of this chip, so it is not necessary to be informed.

3- The walks: they are not for walking, if not to relieve themselves

The bond that is created between your dog and the owner during the walk time is essential for their training. The walks are one of the ways they have to discover new smells, environments, other dogs, or simply, stay active with exercise, in addition to playing with a ball. So a good option is to set schedules with your daily walks.

Buy a leash, since with this you can give basic orders for training such as not pulling on the leash and always obeying when asked. Also, remember that you do not control what happens around you, it is always good that you wear it on a leash, so you will prevent it from escaping if you hear any noise or see something that scares you. As you cannot control everything that happens in the street, you should always carry your dog on a leash… this way, you will prevent him from escaping if he hears any loud noise.

4- Have adequate hygiene

Just like humans, dogs need proper hygiene, a dog, whether it has a different type of hair, needs minimal hygiene care regularly, this consists of a good bath, nail trimming, a review and cleaning of the ears, brushing her hair to remove dead hair. Buy a quality shampoo to make baths more pleasant

5- Sterilize your dog

Currently, there are many dogs on the streets, so to avoid this, it is better to sterilize your pet. Sterilization helps prevent diseases, such as infections or tumors that could develop in the long term; If you sterilize your dog, you will eliminate many more risks.

6- Educate him

To be the best, responsible dog owner, you must understand that you must invest time in their education and training to help them coexist and have good behavior in society. This brings you many benefits, for example, when a dog is well trained they are allowed to enter many stores and restaurants that are pet friendly.

You must understand that in addition to spending part of your time playing with him, feeding him, and making him happy, the important thing is to make him feel comfortable and want to be near you whenever he can. Try caressing him, teaching him new things, showing him his toys so that he does not bite or damage objects in your house.

If you like to meditate, you can do it together with your dog, it is a good experience that will enrich both of you. In addition, we must tell you that dogs are great meditators since they always live from the moment and that is exactly what meditation is for humans.

7- Quality food:

Nowadays, in stores you can find a wide variety of foods and natural packaged food, it would be good to consult your veterinarian which is the best option for your pet’s needs, this varies according to their age, lifestyle, it is not the same try to feed a puppy rather than an adult dog, ensure that this food is high in protein and has low-fat levels.

Do not forget the delicious snacks that you can use as prizes, there is a lot of variety for dogs and you can find them of all sizes, textures, and any flavor. These will help you learn tricks and proper sharing, plus from time to time you can fulfill a whim between meals. On the internet, you can find a lot of easy recipes that you can make yourself to make your dog happy.

In conclusion, we hope that these 7 tips for new dog owners will help you in this new experience of having a new partner who will give you a lot of love and fun moments.
