Would you like to make treats for your dog in your own kitchen? If the answer is yes, you have come to the right place. Below you can see 10 Easy & Healthy Homemade Dog Treats that are extremely healthy and obviously can be made in minutes. Making the treats for your pet is extremely beneficial. You can choose ingredients and therefore nutrients. You can also make him precisely what he likes. Let’s check out the best treats you can make.

10 Easy & Healthy Homemade Dog Treats

1- Bacon Dog Biscuits With Glaze – Pinchofyum

This is the first of them all on our 10 Easy & Healthy Homemade Dog Treats list and one of the most desirable you can possibly make today. You will need basic ingredients such as pumpkin, peanut butter, eggs, oil, flour, and baking soda.

The amount of ingredients is relatively small but you can increase them and make double portions. Once you are done with biscuits you can start with the glaze. You need chicken fat, bacon grease, and peanut butter (smooth).

Mixing the ingredients is the next thing. You can get around 30 treats per batch which is plenty. The best part is the fact all dogs will love this treat.

2- Banana Dog Biscuits- Battersea

Here we have another dog biscuit treat that offers all the perks you can imagine. First of all, it is delicious. Secondly, it is one of the simplest treats you can make in minutes. You only need a few ingredients you probably already have at home.

In essence, you will need 1 banana, sweet potato, oat flour. You will need a blender as well, so keep that in mind. Of course, 1 banana isn’t going to help you make tons of the treat, but you can increase the quantity of the ingredients and make more if your pet likes this food. Be free to mix and match.

Maybe you can adapt the recipe so it feels even better to your pet.

3- Apple And Oat Pretzels- The cookie rookie

There is no need to tell you that this treat is extremely easy to make. After all, all of the recipes on our list are like this. These days, most dog owners do not have enough time to make something complicated and time-consuming for themselves or for their dogs.

But, these pretzels are far from time-consuming. The process has 10 steps and all of you can make these without any problem. If you think that folding the mixture into this shape is complicated or impossible, you are partially right.

It takes some time to get the things done properly, but you can practice with a few pretzels first and then proceed. You won’t have to do this the next time you want to make pretzels for yourself or your pet. Yes, if you don’t like making pretzels you can use any other shape with the same mixture and same steps!

4- Massive Leftover Mix Treat- Topdogtips

This recipe is more for making a proper meal for your dog than a treat. But, due to simplicity and popularity, we decided to include it on the list.

Yes, you can use it as a treat as well. Basically, you will need meat (chicken livers are the best option but you are free to choose anything you like), vegetables, and fruit. Sweet potatoes are needed as well. Mix all together and you are done.

The main advantage of this treat is the fact you already have all the ingredients and leftovers that you will throw away ready. They can be ideal for your best friend.

5- Yogurt Treat With Banana- Bellyfull

If your dog likes bananas, this is going to be the best treat you can make. We must add that xylitol that can be easily found in some peanut butter must be avoided. This refers to all treats and all recipes regardless of the dog breed and what you are planning to make.

The compound is toxic to all dogs and must be avoided. For this recipe, you will need peanut butter, banana, and Greek yogurt. You can use other yogurts as well, but using Greek will be the best option.

In addition, the treats must be in a freezer for 3 hours so your dog will have to wait quite some time.

6- Ice-cream Sandwich- The cookie rookie

When we say ice cream, we don’t refer to the one you can buy in any grocery store and simply feed your dog with it. We also don’t refer to ordinary ice cream in general. But, it can still be considered as ice cream and your dog will love it.

For us, it is more like a yogurt sandwich. Anyway, you will need Greek yogurt, peanut butter, and bacon. The latter is optional, but the treat is much better with it and all dogs like it more. Once the mixture is done and cold, you can use a scoop to place the ice cream between 2 ordinary biscuits for dogs.

Just make sure to freeze all of these again so they remain in one piece. If you don’t like the sandwich alternative, you can feed your pet only with this ice cream. There is no need to use biscuits.

You can also use some of the homemade biscuits we have provided recipes for here.

7- Pumpkin Treat Without Any Baking- Sizzlingeats

Here is another recipe that we like and honestly, you will love making. Once again, use peanut butter without any xylitol which is dangerous to dogs. This is a safe treat that offers great nutrients, is impressive when it comes to taste and aroma.

In reality, it is one of the best pumpkin-based foods for all dogs. Because of ingredients with a high calorie count, you should limit the number of these treats up to 3 per day. Don’t forget that there are almost hundreds treats made from or with pumpkin for dogs and humans.

However, this is the healthiest, simplest, and best option for most dog owners.

8- Chicken Treat- We are not Martha

This recipe is slightly more complicated than we like. It still has 7 steps only and they are all easy to follow, but you will need more ingredients than with some other treats from the list. On the other hand, all the ingredients are easy to find and most of them you already have in your fridge.

You can use a bone-shaped cutter to form the treats in the shape of a bone, or you can use any other shape. It is irrelevant. Some dog owners like making these in heart shape. It is definitely more than just possible and there are no additional steps to worry about.

It is important to add that you must use fresh ingredients for this recipe. You will get the most delicious treat and your dog will get the best nutrients. Do not use leftovers for the chicken treats!

9- Vegan Treat With 3 Ingredients Only- V-dog

Here is a bit more specific type of treat. You will end up with 12 small treats that are all vegan, gluten-free, and at the same time delicious. It is mandatory to remember that not all dogs will enjoy this treat, but most of them will.

If you are a vegan as well, try and make this and show your pet how your diet looks like. The three ingredients are oat flour, soy milk, and peanut butter. Peanut butter must be organic. In general, you need to mix all the ingredients and nothing more.

It is the simplest recipe here and the one most dog owners like making when they have just a bit of free time. The treats must be stored in your fridge or the soy milk can go bad in hours.

10- Pup-cake With Apple- Candiquik

Cupcakes are for humans, pup-cakes are for puppies. As you can see here, the latter will be our treat for the moment. You will need 50 minutes of your time, which isn’t a lot and you are going to need one bowl for mixing the ingredients and a cupcake tin (sadly there is no pup-cake tin yet).

You can also add small bone textures to the cupcakes to make them look even better to your dog. An interesting fact is that you can eat these as well. They are not as sweet as you may like, but they are still delicious. As some of you may know dog treats are not as sweet as the ones for us.

The Final Word

These were 10 Easy & Healthy Homemade Dog Treats all of you can make. The best fact is that all of these are simple and easy to make but they are very healthy and beneficial for all dogs. All pets will enjoy these and ask for more. Try all 10 treats and find out which one your best friend likes the most.

After that, you can make him only that treat, period.
